中國(guó)電視與智能手機(jī)廠商樂視近日表示，在現(xiàn)金短缺的壓力下，樂視已經(jīng)在著手對(duì)全球業(yè)務(wù)部門進(jìn)行優(yōu)化，在美國(guó)將砍掉超過300個(gè)工作崗位，這幾乎是將樂視美國(guó)分公司的員工砍掉了四分之三。

去年，樂視創(chuàng)始人賈躍亭就曾表示，樂視的全球擴(kuò)張速度太快，成本太高，導(dǎo)致現(xiàn)金吃緊。此次大范圍的裁員正是為了大力固守本土市場(chǎng)，并將業(yè)務(wù)重心重新放在電視機(jī)和在線內(nèi)容等核心業(yè)務(wù)上。

在短短10年多的時(shí)間里，樂視從一家視頻流媒體服務(wù)商飛速擴(kuò)展到電視機(jī)、智能手機(jī)、體育甚至是電動(dòng)汽車等多個(gè)行業(yè)里。截止到去年年底，樂視在全球雇傭的員工總數(shù)已達(dá)到了14,000多人。

樂視在一份聲明中表示：“我們的業(yè)務(wù)模式是資本密集型的，”這使它“在過去幾個(gè)月里已經(jīng)難以支撐”旗下的所有業(yè)務(wù)。

“因此，我們手中的資本必須高度集中，因而必須對(duì)業(yè)務(wù)、運(yùn)營(yíng)和人力資源進(jìn)行重大重組和精簡(jiǎn)?！?/p>

路透社此前引用了一位了解內(nèi)情的消息人士的話稱，樂視計(jì)劃將美國(guó)分公司的員工縮減到60人。這與去年十月樂視的美國(guó)業(yè)務(wù)剛剛開張時(shí)“大約500人”的豪言形成了鮮明對(duì)比。

樂視的公關(guān)總經(jīng)理泰瑞·戴利表示，此次裁員總共將裁掉325人，其中甚至包括一些之前從三星和高通挖來(lái)的大牌“領(lǐng)導(dǎo)”。

她拒絕透露樂視美國(guó)分公司最終將保留多少人，不過她表示，樂視在圣迭哥的辦公室將會(huì)被裁撤，而公司在洛杉磯的規(guī)模也將有所縮水。

“大企業(yè)病”

在創(chuàng)始人賈躍亭的帶領(lǐng)下，樂視正在海外業(yè)務(wù)上全線撤軍。它在印度也進(jìn)行了裁員，拋售了硅谷的資產(chǎn)，還叫停了一筆收購(gòu)美國(guó)電視制造商Vizio的交易。

上周日，賈躍亭對(duì)記者表示，裁員主要是為了裁撤低效率的員工，特別是此次裁員將主要集中在非上市體系。

就在去年10月，賈躍亭還表示，樂視規(guī)劃中的北美園區(qū)將能容納12,000名員工。才過了一個(gè)月，賈躍亭就改口稱，樂視得了“大企業(yè)病”，正面臨現(xiàn)金短缺的局面。

今年三月，據(jù)路透社報(bào)道，樂視已經(jīng)同意出售原計(jì)劃用于修建工業(yè)園區(qū)的用地。

據(jù)那位熟悉樂視美國(guó)裁員計(jì)劃的消息人士稱，雖然在美裁員只是樂視戰(zhàn)略收縮計(jì)劃的一部分，但樂視的國(guó)內(nèi)業(yè)務(wù)，比如智能手機(jī)和體育等，也有可能遭遇重大裁員。

該消息人士表示：“他們會(huì)把更多的重心放在中國(guó)市場(chǎng)。要說樂視未來(lái)的趨勢(shì)的話，它可能會(huì)繼續(xù)在電視業(yè)務(wù)上發(fā)力。”

樂視公司稱，此次裁員并不意味著將退出美國(guó)市場(chǎng)，但公司在美國(guó)將采取更加“階段性的措施”。

戴利稱：“我們致力于繼續(xù)留在美國(guó)。”她表示，樂視將繼續(xù)銷售電視機(jī)、在線內(nèi)容和智能手機(jī)，但是將專注于華人客戶。（財(cái)富中文網(wǎng)）

Chinese TV and smartphone vendor LeEco said it will cut over 300 jobs at its U.S. business, amounting to almost three-quarters of its local workforce, as the cash-strapped conglomerate streamlines global operations in response to a shortage of cash.

The cuts are aimed at increasing focus on LeEco 's home market and core TV set and online content business after founder Jia Yueting last year said expansion had been too quick and costly.

LeEco stretched from video streaming to TV sets, smartphones, sports and even electric vehicles in a little over a decade, employing 14,000 people globally as of late last year.

"The breadth of our business model is capital intensive," LeEco said in a statement. This "made it difficult in the past few months to support" all its businesses.

"As a result, the capital we do have will have to be highly focused resulting in a significant restructuring and streamlining of our business, operations and workforce."

Reuters earlier reported, citing a person with knowledge of the plans, that LeEco aimed to cut U.S. personnel to about 60 people. That would compare with "around 500" when LeEco formally launched U.S. operations in October.

The cuts will total 325, said Teri Daley, LeEco 's general manager of communications, including high-profile "leadership" hires formerly at Samsung and Qualcomm.

She declined to specify the size of the remaining headcount, but said an office in San Diego will close whilst its presence in Los Angeles would be downsized.

"Big company disease"

LeEco , headed by founder Jia, has been scaling back overseas operations, making cuts in India, selling property in Silicon Valley and pulling out of a deal to buy U.S. TV maker Vizio.

Jia told reporters on Sunday the cuts were to remove low-efficiency workers, especially from non-listed businesses.

As recently as October, Jia said a planned new North American campus would be able to house 12,000 employees. But in November, he said LeEco was facing "big company disease" and suffering a shortage of cash.

In March, Reuters reported that LeEco had agreed to sell the land earmarked for the campus.

While the U.S. cuts are part of a strategy to refocus on the Chinese market, businesses at home such as smartphones and sports could also face major cuts, said the person with knowledge of the U.S. job cut plans.

"They will focus more on China," the person said. "If you're looking for trends to follow in the future, you'll probably see a continued focus on the TV business."

LeEco said the cuts were not the beginning of the end of its U.S. ambitions, but that it would take a more "phased approach."

"We are committed to staying in the U.S," Daley said. LeEco will continue to sell TV sets and content as well as smartphones but will narrow focus to Chinese-American consumers, she said.
