Nissan Leaf
????Nissan's all-electric Leaf fared somewhat better than the Volt in its first year on the market. Sales through November totaled 8,720, even though drivers found its range disappointing. Launched with the prospect of traveling 100 miles on a single charge, the Leaf ran closer to the low 70s, especially when power-burning accessories like the air conditioner were turned on. Meanwhile, plug-in recharge stations were few and far between. In 2012, the Leaf will have to build on its first-year results and start to make the transition from early adopters to mainstream users. |
