????大局觀 ????就企業(yè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者應(yīng)將主要精力致力于何事這一問題歷來有幾種觀點(diǎn)。一種觀點(diǎn)認(rèn)為,他們的主要職責(zé)是展望未來,同時(shí)為未來做好準(zhǔn)備。另一種觀點(diǎn)則強(qiáng)調(diào)了那句老話——“細(xì)節(jié)決定成敗”。換言之,在理解并腳踏實(shí)地地塑造現(xiàn)實(shí)上,領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者必須親力親為。從我自己的經(jīng)歷看,企業(yè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者必須兩者兼顧——既能仰觀大局,又能俯察細(xì)節(jié)。光有理念,但卻缺乏有效的執(zhí)行方案可謂一錢不值。因此,對(duì)于企業(yè)運(yùn)營(yíng)的方方面面,企業(yè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者都必須深刻理解并能貢獻(xiàn)才智——無論是戰(zhàn)略、運(yùn)營(yíng)、財(cái)務(wù)還是營(yíng)銷,莫不如此。說到底,如今的企業(yè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者無論是行事方法還是本領(lǐng)能力,都要綜合全面。盡管這個(gè)要求看似苛刻,但人們確實(shí)越來越希望他們能事事精通。 ????總之,我要重申自己的信念,即領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力需要終生不懈的學(xué)習(xí)。要想成為成功的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者,并沒有什么金科玉律。有少數(shù)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者品質(zhì)能夠經(jīng)受時(shí)間考驗(yàn)而歷久不衰,但其他品質(zhì)卻要與時(shí)俱進(jìn)。企業(yè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者要抱著開放的心態(tài),滿懷勇氣并保持謙遜地踏上這條叫做領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力的發(fā)現(xiàn)之旅。這個(gè)旅程的終點(diǎn)一定會(huì)讓你感到所有努力都是值得的。(財(cái)富中文網(wǎng)) ????本文作者S.D施布拉是印孚瑟斯技術(shù)公司的聯(lián)合創(chuàng)始人和首席執(zhí)行官。 ????譯者:清遠(yuǎn) |
????Big picture view ????There are various schools of thought when it comes to what business leaders should dedicate a substantial amount of their time to. There is one school of thought that believes business leaders need to focus largely on anticipating and preparing for the future. Another school of thought emphasizes on the common adage – “the devil is in the details.” In other words, business leaders need to be hands-on when it comes to understanding and shaping the realities on the ground. My own experience has taught me that business leaders need to embrace both – a focus on the larger picture and an attention to details. An idea without an effective implementation plan is of little value. Business leaders therefore need to be able to understand and contribute to all aspects of business – be it strategy, operations, finance or marketing. In essence, business leaders today need to be comprehensive in their approach and in the competencies they acquire. As demanding as it may sound, they are increasingly expected to be a jack of all trades and master too. ????To conclude, I will reiterate my belief that leadership is a journey of lifelong learning. There are no mantras to success that are cast in stone. There are a few leadership qualities that stand the test of time but others which need to evolve and be embraced with the changing times. Business leaders need to embark on this journey of discovery called leadership with openness, courage and humility.
